What's your most recent sport and/or
fitness accomplishment?How long did it
take you to prepare?
Boston Marathon - I only ran half-marathons for
fun for years, then in 2015 decided to train for a full and ran the Victoria Marathon. After not running at all in 2016, due to an injury, I trained for a spring marathon in 2017 and ran the BMO in May and then in July I qualified for Boston.
What does a typical training week look like for you?
I run 3 days a week - 2 weeknights of speed/ hills and a long run on Saturday mornings and strength train with Guy and Sasha once a week.
What's your favourite exercise? Why?
I like to run as it is a good way to clear the mind and work off the stress of work and you can’t beat the feeling you get when the run is done and you are enjoying coffee with friends afterwards.
Favourite time of the day to workout.
Morning, so I am energized for the rest of the day.
Did you get any cool results from your training that you weren't expecting? If yes, what were they?
I didn’t expect to qualify for Boston till I hit the 55-60 age group.
What's your most memorable personal record (PR)? Why?
The first time I broke 2:00 hours in a half marathon with a finish time of 1:59:58! After that I was hooked and wanted to run faster, not just run to finish.
Too many… I love to read.
Favourite place you've ever travelled
I love traveling and a favourite memory is
climbing the Eiffel tower with my husband
How old are you?
How long have you been training and how did you get started?
I have been running for 10 years and training with Guy and Sasha for 8-ish years.
