What's your most recent sport and/or fitness accomplishment? How long did it take you to prepare?
My most recent fitness accomplishment would be completing the 8-week Rock Your Jeans Challenge! I believe that my (almost) whole year of training prior to the start helped prepare me to step up my training game and complete the challenge with both excitement and integrity.
What does a typical training week look like for you?
Two training sessions at the gym, workout videos in my living room and a walk or Pilates class whenever I can fit it in.
What's your favorite exercise? Why?
The TRX Row! I like it because when I first joined the gym I could barely complete two repetitions in a row and now I’m up to five or six. I love how they challenge me and also remind me how far I’ve come since starting – I find them to be a practical measure of my progress.
What's your least favorite exercise? Why?
Jump squats. They’re just hard.
What's something sport and/or fitness related you would like to try, but haven't?
I’ve always wanted to try skateboarding… is that considered a sport?
Did you get any cool results from your training that you weren’t expecting? If yes, what were they?
Yes, an appreciation and awareness for strength and what it means to be strong, especially as a woman. There are so many ah-mazing women at the gym that I now look up to and see as role models, I wasn’t expecting that.
What’s your favorite song?
My favorite song is Dreams (or anything from the album Rumours) by Fleetwood Mac.
What are three things you would take with you if you were stranded on a desert island?
Without a doubt fishing gear, probiotics and Chap Stick.
Which three words best describe you?
Funny, creative and hungry.
How old are you?
I'm 24 years old.
How long have you been training and how did you get started?
I’ve been training with True North for almost a year now. I started because two of my friends recommended it – they’re both so awesome I’d probably do just about anything they told me to so I signed up.
What's your sport and/or fitness background?
I’m a classically trained dancer that now gets to teach dance.
